Raven Grimassi

Raven Grimassi Award-winning author Raven Grimassi is the author of seven books on Wicca and Witchcraft, including Wiccan Mysteries (awarded Best Book of the Year & Best Spirituality Book 1998 by the Coalition of Visionary Retailers), Wiccan Magick, Italian Witchcraft (previously titled Ways of the Strega), Hereditary Witchcraft, Encyclopedia of Wicca & Witchcraft (awarded Best Non-Fiction Book 2001 by the Coalition of Visionary Retailers), Beltane, and the forthcoming title The Witches' Craft (October 2002).

Raven Grimassi has been a teacher and practitioner of the Craft for nearly 30 years. He is trained in the Family tradition of Italian Witchcraft (also known as Stregheria), and is also an initiate of several Wiccan Traditions, including Brittic Wicca and the Pictish-Gaelic Tradition. He is currently the Directing Elder of the Arician Ways. Raven considers it his life's work to ensure the survival of ancient witch lore and legend along with ancestral teachings of the Old Religion.

Grimassi has worked as both a writer and editor for several magazines over the past decade, including The Shadow's Edge (a publication focusing on Italian Witchcraft) and Raven's Call (a journal of modern Wicca, Witchcraft and Magick).

Witchcraft and the Old Ways

This is a monthly correspondence course on the foundational concepts of Witchcraft and the Old Ways. This course is focused on the ancient roots of Witchcraft that preexist the origins of modern Witchcraft and Wicca.

The curriculum includes techniques for self-empowerment, Nature veneration, ritual & magical arts, and the study of authentic forms of the associated occult arts.

This course is taught jointly by author Raven Grimassi and High Priestess Stephanie Taylor.

A Course in Witchcraft may include the following depending on your enrollment option:

Thirteen monthly lessons covering a wide range of topics designed to provide a firm foundation and understanding of the Craft as a holistic system.

Internet Yahoo e-group for discussion and networking (for course members only). Here Raven and Stephanie participate in discussion related to the Course material and other topics.

At completion of the course, students will receive a certificate acknowledging a successful study of "A Year & A Day" through the studies offered by Stephanie Taylor and Raven Grimassi.

Special options include four free supplemental lessons (quarterly) that explore cultural differences between northern and southern European Witchcraft traditions. Five collectible Ravens' Call magazines, which are classic collectibles not available anywhere else.

Italian Witchcraft (Stregheria)

The College of the Crossroads is pleased to announce the release of a Course of Study in Italian Witchcraft. The Course consists of thirteen monthly lessons covering a variety of topics. Included in this “outer-court” study is new material never before published, along with charts, symbols, illustrations, rituals, and spells. The entire Course of Study is available online, and is taught by authors Raven Grimassi and Stephanie Taylor. Students receive email attachments with the lessons created as Word documents. Each lesson can be printed out and kept in a binder. As part of the Course, students can join an online community that features a discussion group, networking opportunities, and the availability of instructors for expanded teachings. Upon completion of this Course, students receive a beautiful certificate suitable for framing.
