THE WHEEL OF THE YEAR: EXPLORING THE INNER TEACHINGS –
Join authors Raven Grimassi & Stephanie Taylor for a
representation on the eight festivals of the Wheel of the
Year. Included is a slide-show using the eight festival card
images from the Hidden Path oracle deck. Attendees receive
a cord with instructions on how to use it as a magical
alignment.
THE WELL WORN PATH DIVINATION SYSTEM - Join authors
Raven Grimassi and Stephanie Taylor for a presentation on
the unique divination system known as the Well Worn Path.
The presentation includes an alignment to the mystical
figure known as the Crone of the Cottage, and also covers
the inner symbolism contained in the card images. This
presentation is 2 hours long with a ten minute break.
THE HIDDEN PATH
ORACLE SYSTEM – Join authors Raven Grimassi & Stephanie
Taylor for a presentation of this unique system of
divination and mystical alignments. The presentation
includes a magical alignment to the sacred bough image, and
covers to inner teachings of the eight Sabbats of the Wheel
of the Year.
The presentation is 2 hours long with
a 10 minute break.
FAIRY STONE WORKSHOP
– Join authors Raven Grimassi & Stephanie Taylor for a
presentation of the traditional fairy stone. The talk
includes old fairy lore, and how to make and use a fairy
stone to call forth fairies. The fairy stone as a “sighting
stone” is also discussed. Attendees receive a clay fairy
stone with cord along with instructions.
The presentation is one-and-half hours
long.
FROM BEAUTY TO BEAST: HOW THE WITCH WAS
MALIGNED — A lecture on the
evolution of the witch figure from the beautiful witches of
ancient Greek mythology to the ugly hag figure of later
periods. In this lecture, Raven presents the literary and
cultural evidence that demonstrates the purposeful maligning
of witches, and the agenda of both the Church and the
politicians to remove the witch from public favor. Featured
in this lecture; the etymology of the word "witch" and the
evolution of other terms used to describe witches.
This is a 2 hour lecture with a 10 minute
break in the middle. Time will be provided for Q & A.
WITCHCRAFT; THE CASE FOR THE OLD
RELIGION — A lecture on the
literary evidence from ancient times through the Renaissance
period that portrays the existence of concepts in Witchcraft
that many modern scholars claim date no earlier than the
19th century. These include the existence of a triformis
goddess worshipped by witches, ritual circles, working with
elemental spirits, and witches as priestesses.
This lecture is 2 hours with a 10 minute
break in the middle. Time for Q & A will be provided.
ITALIAN WITCHCRAFT
— A lecture on the origins of The Old Religion and
parallels that exist between various European traditions.
The lecture also discusses the importance of ancestral
shrines and the principle of "the momentum of the past".
This lecture is 2 hours with a 10 minute
break in the middle. Time for Q & A will be provided.
THE FULL MOON IN WITCHCRAFT
— A lecture on why witches gather beneath the full moon.
This talk will focus on the magic of moonlight, the role of
the goddess of Witchcraft, and the connection of the
Underworld theme.
This lecture is 2 hours with a 10 minute
break in the middle. Time for Q & A will be provided.
MAGIC AND ITS RITUAL TOOLS
— A lecture on the origins of the four primary tools used in
Witchcraft. The lecture also focuses on magic as a
metaphysical science, and explores the role of the Elemental
and Astral Planes in magic. Raven will demonstrate how to
raise and direct magical energy to charge jewellery, tools
and other craft objects. Attendees are welcome to bring an
object to charge.
This is a 2-3 hour
lecture with a 10 minute break in the middle of the 2 hour
lecture and then a short preparation time for the
demonstration. Time for Q & A will be provided.
WICCAN
MYSTERIES (for beginners) — A lecture on the primary
keys to understanding the mysteries of Wicca as the Old
Religion. Raven discusses how the Old Religion formed as a
mystery tradition, how the concept of a sun god and moon
goddess was established, and how the basic aspects of
Witchcraft as a religion evolved.
This lecture is 2 hours with a 10 minute
break in the middle. Time for Q & A will be provided.
WICCAN MYSTERIES
(intermediate) — A lecture on the inner teachings of Wicca
as they relate to pre-Christian European paganism. Explored
are the inner traditions of the Hunter Society, and the
Agricultural Society. The god and goddess forms in
Witchcraft as a religion are discussed. The Sabbats, which
make up “The Wheel of the Year”, are presented as metaphors
for the journey of the soul in the material world. Key to
this lecture is Raven's presentation of long standing occult
principles at the root of Western Tradition.
This lecture is 2 hours with a 10 minute
break in the middle. Time for Q & A will be provided.
ANIMAL TOTEM WORKSHOP
— Raven facilitates an interactive guided mental imagery
meditation designed to contact one's power animal. This
Otherworld journey is designed for those desiring to work
with a 'familiar' or power animal. Once the meditation has
concluded, there is a sharing circle (not mandatory) and
Raven further discusses symbolism of the animal totem and
techniques on how to work with them. Questions are
encouraged.
This workshop is 2-3 hours long and is
limited to 20 participants.
A TALE OF WITCHES
(Audience participation) — This presentation features a look
at Witchcraft past, present, and future as a people of
diversity and commonality. As Raven guides everyone through
our history as a spiritual people, a drum and flute accent
this entertaining and visionary tale. Evening Event Only.
This event is 2 hours. An open discussion will follow.
WITCHCRAFT AT THE CROSSROADS —
Join author Raven Grimassi for a workshop and talk on older
forms of Witchcraft rooted in pre-Christian European
Paganism. A demonstration on the Witches’ broom as a ritual
tool of invocation/evocation is discussed and demonstrated.
Other topics include the cauldron, the crossroad symbol, and
the magical principle known as the “momentum of the past”.
This lecture is 2 hours with a 10 minute
break in the middle. Time for Q & A will be provided.
TUSCAN DIVINATION RUNE WORKSHOP —
Create your own set of Tuscan Witch's runes as seen in Raven
Grimassi's book Hereditary Witchcraft. Learn the
meaning of the Tuscan rune symbols and put together your own
set. All materials are supplied. Included are rune pieces,
carry pouch, throw cloth for reading and instruction
booklet.
Raven will explain the connection between
fava beans, divination and the Underworld. He will give an
overview of Etruscan divination, focusing on the use of fava
beans and ancestral spirits.
During the workshop, Raven will take
participants on a guided mental journey to a place of
Oracle.
Following the guided journey,
participants will be instructed in creating their own set of
divination runes and how to use them.
This workshop is approximately 6 hours,
which includes 2 rest breaks and a lunch break.
Participants should plan a full day for this. Participation
is limited to 25 participants.
